Deluxe Waterfall Safari prices

The same 55-minute flight is sold at three different prices. Here is what each one includes, where the extra money goes, and which way of booking suits your trip.

Booking choice: The Deluxe Waterfall Safari, from $336 per person. Check dates Compare the options below

Safari Helicopters sells the Deluxe Waterfall Safari on its own website and through booking platforms such as Viator. The aircraft, the pilots and the route are identical; what changes is the price, the fees shown up front and the cancellation terms.

Prices below were checked on Safari's site and the live Viator listing in October 2026. They move, so the checkout price is the one that counts.

The quick answer

Safari lists the Deluxe Waterfall Safari at $309 per person and takes $30 off with its own online code, so $279 booked direct. Viator sells it from $336 with taxes, fees and the fuel surcharge included and free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Hotel pickup is not included either way.

How much is the Deluxe Waterfall Safari in 2026?

The regular direct price is $309 per person, $279 with Safari's online code, and from $336 on Viator.

Everyone aged two and over pays a seat. Lap infants under 24 months and under 25 lb fly free on an adult's lap.

Why is the Viator price higher?

Viator's from-price includes taxes, fees and Safari's fuel surcharge, and adds free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

The Viator listing says a $26.70 fuel surcharge is already in its price. Cancellation terms are the other difference: some resellers of the same flight ask for 48 hours' notice, while Viator refunds in full up to 24 hours before. On an island where cloud cancels flights, that flexibility has real value.

Is it cheaper to book direct?

Yes, by about $57 per person if you use Safari's own code, which adds up for a family.

Book direct if your dates are fixed and you are happy with the operator's own terms. Book on Viator if you want one place for all your Kauai activities, the 24-hour free cancellation, and the reviews in one place. Either way, give accurate body weights when you book.

What is included in the price?

The 55-minute flight with pilot narration, all fees and taxes, and the use of lockers at check-in.

Hotel pickup and snacks are not included, and neither is a landing: this is a sightseeing flight. Seats cannot be chosen; the pilot assigns them by weight and balance.

What do heavier passengers pay?

Passengers over 250 lb, or two people over 420 lb combined, must buy an extra seat.

Safari calls it a comfort seat. Be honest about weights at booking: the operator weighs everyone at check-in and says there is no refund when wrong weights mean you cannot fly.

Is the canyon landing tour worth the extra?

If you want to step out on Kauai's back-country, yes: about $60 more buys a 30 to 35 minute stop on a private canyon rim.

The landing is at a conservation preserve overlooking Olokele Canyon, not at the Jurassic Park falls. See where the Jurassic falls really are.

Is there a cheaper way to see Kauai from the air?

Yes: a small sightseeing plane circles the island for about $159, with a window seat for everyone.

Planes cannot hover or turn into the Waialeale crater the way a helicopter does, but reviewers love the value. Compare all the options in Kauai helicopter tours compared.

Small planes circle the whole island at about half the price.

How far ahead should you book?

A week or two ahead in busy seasons, and always for early in your stay so a weather cancellation can be rebooked.

Flight times are limited while Kauai recovers from Hurricane Lowell, so the morning slots go first. Because the Viator booking cancels free up to 24 hours before, booking early costs nothing if your plans change.
